Health and Food Threats of Global Warming

Infectious Disease

Many scientist and researchers believe that Global Warming will result in water and food threats. They note that our water has reached toxic levels making the rain poisonous, which contains sulfates, nitrates and sulphur dioxide. Locations that are near industrial and chemical farming areas can expect to be severely polluted and any drinking water will be scarce. They also predict that large cities will who depend on water being piped and canalled from long distances will become scarcer and will suffer massive shortages

As the world’s population continues to grow, we will run out of Mother Nature’s resources to sustain ourselves. Oceans are being destroyed by toxic waste, oil spills, garbage dumping, water waste and acid rain. The demands from industrial, agricultural and individual demands, which continue to escalate, will all but deplete the Earth of its many rich resources.

There are health concerns to worry about as well, because food distribution to urban areas is independent on fossil fuels. If this should be disturbed for any reason, many people would go hungry and social unrest will take over.  As urban sprawl continues and the availability of farmland becomes scarce, many people will run out of food. Researchers believe that since the Industrial Revolution, which took place in the mid-1800’s, the human enterprise has gotten so large that it now threatens the very survival of our planet. By going green and adhering to the great Mother Earth, can we return this planet to what is was meant to be. A place that thrives, is free from disease and has room for responsible growth.
