Nail Salons Get Nabbed For Sun Exposure

We have been told that tanning beds are just as bad as sun exposure when it comes to skin cancer. Now research shows that having your nails done and exposing them to UV light rays is just as bad as tanning. Foxnews.com has a new article out about the situation and it’s looking pretty grim. Studies show that drying your nails under ultraviolet rays is just as bad as visiting the tanning bed. Dr. Neil Schultz notes that attending the nail salon can impact your risk for skin cancer.

Women don’t want to spend time sitting in a salon and waiting for their nails to dry. Salon owners have come to the rescue with ultraviolet rays, which provide 1200 watts to the hands. This is the same amount that is emitted from tanning beds, making nail salons just as dangerous as tanning.
